i remember listening solely to oasis CDs on my walkman in the car ride to my sister's wedding.

more recently, i've spent an entire day listening to nothing but the smiths!

It was the single of Paranoid Android, b-sides Polyethylene (parts) 1&2, and Pearly*.

It's a measure of how good those songs are that I still love them, even after that ludicrous exercise in over-exposure.

I actually listened to My Morning Jeacket yesterday, ALL DAY. All albums played.

I was actually listening to "On Letting Go" by said band for most of yesterday awesome album.

when i was 14 i forgot to take my cd collection on holiday to spain, although i remebered my walkman. Brought a pretty fake looking copy of number of the beast and listened to that album solely for 2 weeks! made me the man i am today.

but after okkervil river played at the scala earlier this year i skived the next day off work and listened to their entire (main) catalogue in chronological order.

I've done it for plenty of other bands I'm sure.

especially on the day/night before I'm going to see said band live.

esp the odd occasion when I do a review. hehe... the prospect of listening to Sloan all day put me right off doing their new one. Mike doesn't pay the big bucks for "sub-par power pop." :)

I have band years forget days. I spent ages 16-18 with Joy Division. It was weird playing for the school rugby team and listening to the atrocity exhibition on the coach.

I've done it with Johnny Foreigner and The Mae Shi a lot recently. I also frequently have days where all I listen to is Mew.

i think i only listened to Magazine for about 3 months

then Wire for about 3 months

then Devo for about 3 months

then the baby was born.

obviously i would hear other music, such as at work or in clubs or something, but those were the only bands i would listen to on my ipod/stereo.

Modest Mouse all day. Didn't hear the same song twice.

recently - steely dan one day, miles davis the next (good for writing essays to!)

In the past I've done it with Manic Street Preachers (when I was 16/17) and Muse (plently of times, when I first got Absolution I didn't listen to anything else for at least 2 weeks).

If I set my itunes to just run through all the songs on my computer. There are some bands who just made a lot of music (I'm thinking The Beatles, Nina Simone, Green Day etc...)
