ive done it with White Lies so far today.
p.s. that Santogold advert is fucking me off and making me never want to listen to that song or album ever again. (rant over)

Johnny Foreigner...
yesterday AND today
and yes, that advert is fookin' annoying
Yeah
Jimmy Eat World for a whole WEEK the first time I got into Clarity
impressive!
did you like chase this light?
yeah pretty much all the time.
I listen to about 3 artists max per day.
And by "listen" i mean "to an album/albums".
Yes
Radiohead and NIN on separate days.
Yes that advert is fucking annoying.
Grace by Jeff Buckley
non-stop for a week on holiday. My little ears couldn't believe their luck.
I listened to the smiths straight
for at least a month
Mostly johnny flynn this week
your obsessive weirdo points: 0
I spent
all of this morning and most of the afternoon listening to Melvins today, broken up only by Fuck Buttons when I lay in the sun reading.
Yes
I gave a good few months to nothing but the Smiths
in the days before the ipod...
i remember listening solely to oasis CDs on my walkman in the car ride to my sister's wedding.
more recently, i've spent an entire day listening to nothing but the smiths!
Basically said the same thing after hearing the ad
only ever done it once with Modest Mouse
I once spent a whole day listening to three Radiohead songs
It was the single of Paranoid Android, b-sides Polyethylene (parts) 1&2, and Pearly*.
It's a measure of how good those songs are that I still love them, even after that ludicrous exercise in over-exposure.
You can imagine what OK Computer did to my tiny mind ...
this is weird.
I actually listened to My Morning Jeacket yesterday, ALL DAY. All albums played.
Lucky Dragons
Last week. Good week!
Interesting username since
I was actually listening to "On Letting Go" by said band for most of yesterday awesome album.
Iron Maiden
when i was 14 i forgot to take my cd collection on holiday to spain, although i remebered my walkman. Brought a pretty fake looking copy of number of the beast and listened to that album solely for 2 weeks! made me the man i am today.
i don't think so
but after okkervil river played at the scala earlier this year i skived the next day off work and listened to their entire (main) catalogue in chronological order.
Pretty much Sonic Youth today.
I've done it for plenty of other bands I'm sure.
Yeah many times,
especially on the day/night before I'm going to see said band live.
I've had bright eyes & super furry animals days.
they were fun.
Bright Eyes days
are common for myself also, think I had cassadaga on solid repeat for a few days when it came out. Fun indeed!
Yeah, sure
esp the odd occasion when I do a review. hehe... the prospect of listening to Sloan all day put me right off doing their new one. Mike doesn't pay the big bucks for "sub-par power pop." :)
nope
nope
might have a go at it though
Hmm
I have band years forget days. I spent ages 16-18 with Joy Division. It was weird playing for the school rugby team and listening to the atrocity exhibition on the coach.
JoFo...
... for several days!
I do it with Mogwai quite a lot recently...
...as they're perfect for revising to.
yes - Nick Cave
did that a couple of weeks ago.
radiohead a few times recently when i've been very hungover
see also: mew and sigur ros
Flaming Lips
From the early stuff to pretty much the end in one day.
nevermind ONE day
I've been listening to Dirty Projectors "Rise Above" for one week solid now
still not bored!
A Spent a whole year listening
to only The Beach Boys
I can see how that might happen
Yes
I've done it with Johnny Foreigner and The Mae Shi a lot recently. I also frequently have days where all I listen to is Mew.
the first time i got
into the smiths and the beatles they were, in their respective times, the only band i listened to for several months.
i've listened to appetite for destruction all day before. it just doesnt get boring.
quite often have a few days of only listening to nirvana or red house painters but mostly when crushingly depressed.
i think i only listened to Magazine for about 3 months
then Wire for about 3 months
then Devo for about 3 months
then the baby was born.
obviously i would hear other music, such as at work or in clubs or something, but those were the only bands i would listen to on my ipod/stereo.
OH yeah
Modest Mouse all day. Didn't hear the same song twice.
i have done this many times
recently - steely dan one day, miles davis the next (good for writing essays to!)
Yes definitely.
In the past I've done it with Manic Street Preachers (when I was 16/17) and Muse (plently of times, when I first got Absolution I didn't listen to anything else for at least 2 weeks).
More recently 65daysofstatic and The Mars Volta.
Radiohead,
Xiu Xiu and of Montreal.
I hated the advert song before. And now it's making me want to kill
no, i get bored easily
Have done it with
Yo La Tengo. Our way to fall, works really nicely in the evening
Quite frequently
If I set my itunes to just run through all the songs on my computer. There are some bands who just made a lot of music (I'm thinking The Beatles, Nina Simone, Green Day etc...)
I don't very often just listen to a single album on repeat for a whole day, though: I like variety in the songs I'm listening to.
i do this everyday
with the fall
Melpo Mene
I often spend a day listening to his album over and over again.
McLusky last week
They have very few weak tracks
Pavement's 'Shady Lane'
all day on repeat occured the other day. Guess I may have killed it for at least a couple of weeks...
Did almost the same with Metronomy's 'My Heart Rate Rapid' the day after.
