Watched this last night, anyone else think it was a pretentious pile of poo? Approximately half the film was shots of arty shots of nothing, barely any dialogue of note, and an ending that explained nothing

but certainly not the average 90 it achieved on metacritic
Everyone keeps telling me how amazing it is
Perhaps I won't bother and go see Son Of Rambow again.
Son Of Rambow is great fun;
def. better than Paranoid Park. I think PP is worth watching, but 'amazing' isn't really the word i'd use in conjunction with it

Gus Van Sants Films have been heading towards the arty with shots of not much and no dialougue for quite a while. I like them like that I'm a bit board of your usual movie films. It could be wank I haven't seen it.

even if you're intentionally hiring amateurs, i'd appreciate if you got some who could act.

If you want to watch a vaguely skate related film that is actually good then, you should watch: Kids, Wassup Rockers or Lords of Dogtown.

I liked it
a big improvement on Last Days (not hard) though not as good as Elephant. The amateurish acting was fairly annoying in places though.

is a lot better than the pukesome good will hunting. also more story and dialogue than his recent films, the death trilogy. gotta love the soundtrack, too... elliot smith, menomena.

PP is excellent.
I didnt have a problem with the 'crappy' dialogue and acting. Its a top drawer portrayal of bored youth. Get back to your Cloverfields and Rambos - its all you deserve.
