I saw a bit of Radio 1's 'Big' weekend blah on telly and have to say if I waked into a pub in plaistow and saw a skeletal Berkerley Menthol hag doing bad karaoke I'd be less scared. Have never liked this deeply cyincal woman but this was just creepy. Also having 'urban dancers' who you think still graffiti the subways like nothing has changed in urban music since 'Beat Street' in 1985 truly deserves to be pushed in front of an angry train anyway.

it was all the mroe depressing when Zone Lowe started banging on about how amazing it was, fucking goon.
It seems to me that Madonna's main strength is working with the right people.
That's not meant as a criticism but it does seem that how good or bad her songs are generally depends on the people she works with.
Obviously her other talent has been making herself really fucking famous. She's not a bad singer, she's a decent enough dancer and she was probably reasonably good-looking back in the day but basically she's got self-publicity down to a tee, whcih is kind of what you need to be a pop star.
I honestly don't mean any of the above as negative. She's realised the music business is a business and handled herself extremely well to keep herself at the top for 20 years but she's done it as much through strength of personality and making the most of what she has than she has through any unique talent.
It seems to me that Madonna's main strength is working with the right people.

as a 'champion of new music' and that depresses me somewhat - having someone who looks like a skater who probably thinks the Foo Fighters rule over Nirvana just makes me wish I could switch off forver if I knew I could take him with me and save at least 345,000 pairs of disappointed and indifferent ears.
