It is with great regret and personal grief that we report that, around 9.30pm, Sunday 11th of May, we, the family of Scott, discovered his body and found that he had committed suicide through painkiller overdose.

In his final wishes (through suicide note), he stated he wished for his death to be reported on both his blog and other notable online sources.

We cannot say much more than this, as the pain of our loss is too great. However, we will always miss our son, and our loss will be felt by many.

but I suspect it isn't true. What with the abovementioned MySpace post, and the sudden disappearences of seemingly his ENTIRE blog, all signs suggest as such.

There was a comment on that MySpace page (he links to it on his blog). I posted the comment on here, and about two minutes later it was gone.

The only way you could explain that would be a) someone using his account to tell people of his death (at 3am), and then decided to go and post a not very sad sounding comment on his friends bands page. Uh, unlikely. Or that it was hacked, and the hacker strangely decided to do the same. Kind of unlikely still.

my friend took her own life last year. Her dad logged onto her facebook and left a message in her 'status', saying he loved her and he hoped she'd 'RIP'... So yeah it's not unusual to use that term.
