Scooter are good.

Really! I like 'em. They've got some classic tracks. As good as any other modern dance record, especially tat like Justice.

Justice ARE tat

uh huh

who are they?

i've got no idea. they're not those eurovision clowns from last year are they?

no wai

they are euro-core royalty.

THE LEADING HORSE IS WHITE
THE SECOND HORSE IS RED
THE THIRD ONE IS A BLACK
THE LAST ONE IS A GREEN

yeah but....

A WHOLE ALBUM OF THAT?

:D:D:D:D

yes

better than ten seconds of Usher i'll wager.

Seriously

This is fucking mental, HOW. I only listen to scooter on clips on youtube to laugh at, I mean seriously

I think the entirety of the UK is playing one huge practical joke

this is a victory for indie/alternative

an artist has topped the charts despite being hideously uncool, and having absolutely no mainstream press or airplay or allegiance to the C4/E4 axis of yoot musik. Like Cascada, they are pushed into the spotlight by the unseen majority of skinheaded, Sherman shirted, Heaven n Hell pound a pint provincial idiots and tossbags. Sure they have no taste whatsoever, and a lot of them are violently ugly and stupid, but they're pushing forward the plight of the little man, the under-represented, those disenfranchised by the world of blanket media cultural whitewashing. And for that, we should commend them

AHEM

There's been fucking adverts on the telly mate. It's corporate happy-hardcore.

i hadn't noticed any

but even with those adverts for XXTREME HARDCOREX MIXED BY HIXXY AND STYLES N BREEZE you never see them going straight in at number one

and of course it's corporate, but for something which is clearly so popular you never see the mainstream going anywhere near it (except for the aformentioned adverts during Hollyoaks). It's just flown completely past all the "tastemakers" and is "of itself"

Hixxy is great by the way

just wanted to mention that.

there's a massive market for it

and has been since the early 90s. Of course it's mainstream - you don't get non-mainstream stuff doing adverts on the telly. If they can afford TV advertising costs..

yeah but

JIGGA JIGGA!

you DO just memorise passantino reviews

then reword them when relevant dont you?

They're like, MEGA huge.

Move Your Ass.
Is one of theirs, no?

i prefer

Vengaboys myself.

Bo bo.

Anyway

i'm not particularly surprised. They're massive all over Europe, haven't released anything here for six years and still a lot of people hear them in clubs, before seeing the album on supermarket shelves. How people are surprised that they're number one but don't question the presence of Sam Sparro (ho?) in the top five is a bit beyond me.

plus

will this see the return of Moped?

:D

also, Sam Sparro is in the top 5 because he's had MASSIVE amounts of airplay, and his single is both quite good and a little bit unusual

i see.

i'd never heard of him beyond an advert banner on DiS. Maybe that's more telling of my existence rather than of the pop charts.
