THIS IS AN IMPORTANT QUESTION, as I will be getting some ben&jerrys tomorrow with someone whos NEVER had it ever before, and the first impression needs to be good obviously. well, it would be good no matter which one we get but AMAZING is always better than just good.

My favourites are probably Phish Food and Fossil Fuel, but theres another one I really want to try, Baked Alaska or something?

Also, how are their sorbets?

mango and whatever sorbet = fackin brilliant

i had it today for the first time and i think it may be as good as phish food actually, which is the best.

No

It's shit. It's the Frightened Rabbit of frozen desserts.

WAIT

are you talking about phish food or the sorbet?

The sorbet

I can't remember ever having Phish Food but I do quite often say to my sister "Get the one with marshmallows in it". She never does :(

PHEW

got me nervous there for a moment, I don't think I could ever get along with someone who actually DISLIKES phish food. but I'm not crazy about mango anyway so that's fine.

you're the frightened rabbit

of humans. it is an incredibly enjoyable sorbet.

It's mango

Mango + enjoyable = oxymoron.

seriously dude?

mango > most fruits and mango flavoured things > most flavours.

Nah

this

One of my favourite picnics ever was when a bloke turned up with just a box full of mangos. I taught a cute girl how to cut them and then never had the confidence to talk to her again. Amazing.

:D

sounds like my kind of picnic. did you teach her how to 'hedgehog' them? you should have hedehogged her, comrade.

Heh

sadly not, I was a bit drunk for anything that complex. Only me and one other person fancied white wine and there were 3 bottles so it would be rude not to. After it we went to Gloucestershire to see a friend and had another picnic the next day by a little brook. Amazing scenes.

that was a pretty good comeback

i'll give you that, even if i disagree wth you on the mango issue

hey thanks!

it was quite lame i thought but not as lame as people who don't like mangoes.

i was just about to say hello to you on msn

but then you left, AND insulted me.

:(

I've

never had it before either.
:(

Me either

I cant see the point - it costs about 4 times as much as regular ice cream and the tubs seem really small

therefore bad value for money - just how good could it be

a fiver for a pint tub

IT IS SO WORTH IT, you have no idea what you're missing out on man.

Phish Food or Cookie Dough

or at a push, Cherry Garcia

Half Baked?

HALF BAKED

i had completely forgotten about this, it is EASILY my favourite.

cookie dough is ok

i had it whilst drunk once and it was AMAZING, then i tried it again when i was sober and it wasn't as good, a bit too much cookie dough believe it or not, the chunks were a bit too massive.

what's in cherry garcia? other than cherry tasting stuff?

Adam Garcia

i was going to say something hilarious here

but it all ended up sounding way too dirty, completely unintentional OBVIOUSLY.

Who wouldn't?!

I don't like his hair

judging by that one photo alone

no

but that would have been pretty funny

VANILLA

LOL

I work at Ben & Jerrys sometimes (in the cinema). Woo.

My favorite are the sorbets, Very Berry Extrodinary is tasty, but the Lemonade one is tangy and refreshing.

Out of the ice creams I like Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz Buzz, but you have to be a coffee loer to understand it's true bliss. But the award for most delicious probably has to go to Chunky Monkey, the perfect blend of banana flavoured ice cream with nuts and fudge/chocolate.
Cookie Dough should probably get a mention for most popular, but I personally think it's over-rated.

you must be the happiest person alive

except for like the people who try the different flavours at the factory

I used to spend entire ten hour shifts

with a spoon in hand, nibbling the odd bit of ice cream.

Unfortunatly they installed cameras and told us eating stock was a sackable offence. I now look on in envy as snotty kids get melted ice cream all over their grubby little faces.

They used to do this really delicious one

which had maple flavoured ice cream or something. Seriously the best flavour ever. But then the shop stopped selling it and I've never seen it again.

They're always changing flavours.. :(

Caramel Chew Chew is pretty nice..

i've actually never had ben & jerrys...

but i expect Haagen Dasz pisses on it from a great height. I'm a cheapo, give me an ice cream roll anyday.

Haagen Dasz

looks fancy, but tastes boring.

HD is nice

the brownie/caramel/vanilla one is like heaven in a tub. but b&j is amazing as well, they're like a children's version of HD in a way. and believe me, that does NOT mean they're more boring.

Ben&Jerry's Flavour Graveyard

http://www.benjerry.com/halloween/flavor_graveyard.cfm

THEY USED TO HAVE ONE CALLED WHITE RUSSIAN.

Massive sadface.

you bitch

WHAT?

did you mention it to me two years ago or something?

Chocolate Fudge Brownie all the way

preferably the frozen yoghurt as opposed to the ice cream, but either will do. All of them are good, but this one is totally the best, with Phish Food a close second.

^ finally someone with some sense!

Chocolate fudge brownie B&J ice cream > most things in life

Cherry Garcia

also half baked
and cookie dough.
....

Wavy Gravy

is freakin awesome...except I don't think they make it anymore and therefore I'm off B&J ... there's a US shop called Cold Stone which is soooooo creamy and rich and delicious. So cold stone ftw (may only be calif, I dunno).

I know you've all been thinking about this all day

so I just thought I'd let you know, we went for Half Baked and it was a great success.

my friend tried that

and was quite unimpressed.
