Today must be the most boring Saturday ever. Two games, both of them pretty unvital two-legged affairs, pah! Hopefully a leg-weary Rangers can drop points against a pretty decent Dundee Utd side. Tomorrow mightn't be as exiting as it could've been, with United pretty much guaranteed to lift the title, in most thanks to Emile Heskey. If either side drops points it'll be Chelsea, i reckon, but we can but hope. I really hope Chelsea do it. They really are a good side, and for me as decent to watch as United - something always seems to happen when they play. We play Boro away in what will almost certainly by Sven's last competative game in charge, which is a massive massive joke really. The club's progressed more in the last twelve months than it has in the five years previous to it. At last we can compete with the biggest clubs for the really top players. We finally (mostly) play decent football. We're making the most of a great youth setup, the fans are happy and then this sponge decides to throw a spanner in the works. Anyway, a decent win at Boro tomorrow would be a nice send-off for a great manager, and one who i'm sure would be a serious candidate for any of the bigger jobs that might come up this summer or in the future. Thanks Sven! Who're you playing, what do expect might happen on the last day, etc etc...

Are you sure?
I swear I've heard it twice before.
shame about svennis...
I;ve got a lot of time for him, proved himself to be a good manager in England, after the international experiment.
Its Utd's title, but not until after half time. By that I mean I fancy Chelsea to stroll it against Notlob, 2/3-0 and Utd to be 0-0 at half time but come through 2-0 at full time.
My lads are gonna win at the Mackems 3-1, we'll be giving some new blood a run out, and TBH some of the sundrland players haven't really looked arse'd since they secured their top flight status a few weeks back.
Elsewhere Fulham to stay up, just. Think Reading will struggle to beat Derby and it'll be Brum who come closest but ultimately fail and that serves the cunts right because they are bunch of leg-breaking cunts and I hope they stay down.
Boro 7 - 0 Man City
Ever the optomist.
Not far off!
.
Jesus christ.
Ive never seen so many goals in one match.
What a fucking goal that was.
A bunch?
Martin Taylor is a collective noun?
I had a dream the other night
where United let in a last minute equaliser. With Chelsea winning and stealing the title.
Incredible scenes.
....
Did you here: "...it's up for grabs now!!"
Because that might not have been a dream.
It was definitely a dream.
The goal was all slow motion-like as well, it was a Vidic own goal. The dream ended with him lying on his front looking dejected into the goal. Then I woke up. Smiling.

" Gerrard wants title bid next year"
He must be moving to Chelsea!
Birmingham 0-1 Blackburn
Chelsea 1-0 Bolton

he should go to spurs
everyones new favourite club
well he's english.
overpriced. and a cunt.
so yeah he'd fit in well down there in the mid-table and UEFA Cup group stages.
silverware though
well, two Mickey Mouse cups in the modern era.
Compared to Arsenal's two titles, five FA Cups, League Cup & Cup Winners Cup. Not to mention their five second-place finishes and five major finals they've got to and not managed to win.
(Yes, i know we've won fuck all, but that's not the point!)
yeah but this season?
and the season before that?
and the one before that? :D
Come on...
i'm not sure you can count one fluky win against Chelsea in a nothing competition as real silverware. Straws. At. Clutching. Chelsea lost the Carling Cup final by dropping their best attacking player & playing a forward on the wing. Obviously that's not Spuds' fault, but it was the worst final in living memory and has done absolutely nothing to enhance your reputation as a club. (See: your best player leaving)
None of that is really true though is it?
it was a comment said in jest anyway.
Et en Ecosse..
Falkirk 2-2 Inverness
Hearts 3-1 Kilmarnock :(
Motherwell 1-0 Aberdeen
Rankers 1-0 Dundee U
ST Mirren 3-0 Gretna
Ceptic 2-1 Hibs
I <3 those predictions
damn well better come true.
west ham 0 villa 2, everton 0 newcastle 1
the fifth place dream lives on for villa!
optimistic? perhaps
How on earth can anyone describe the Play-Offs
as "two unvital two-legged affairs"? Try telling that to the chairmen, players and supporters of Hull, Bristol City, Watford and Crystal Palace as a £60 million windfall awaits the winners. It's not all about Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, you know, really, despite what the tabloids and Sky TV might want you to believe.
not at all.
the first legs are quite unimportant though, nothing's settled and they're usually really cagy affairs. Perhaps my wording was wrong, i'm looking forward to the finals immensely, but barring a massive win to either side in the first leg, they're generally not that vital.
FAO jakamo
i had exactly the same dream! Chelsea were 3-0 up in mine and were already safe on getting the 3 points. Wigan equalised in injury time to make it 1-1 hence chelsea winning the title. Cant remembered who scored though.
Spooky..
Vidic.
Definitely Vidic.
:)

i don't care
this has been the worst football season in history and i'm never ever going to talk about it again.
i think united are professional enough
to do the job at wigan, so alternatively...
Birmingham 1-0 Blackburn
Chelsea 19-0 Bolton
Derby 1-1 Reading
Everton 2-1 Newcastle
Middlesbrough 2-2 Man City
Portsmouth 0-1 Fulham
Sunderland 1-4 Arsenal
Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

I'm seeing
United wrapping it up by being 2 to 3 up in the first 20 minutes.
Which is a shame really

Goodbye Reading,
Hello Bristol (City)!
Is it any coincidence that I moved to Bristol from Reading a few months ago? No it is not. I am in fact a promotion magnet.
Bristol or Hull
would be good
A part of me
wants to see Hull go up just to see Nick "Nicky" Barmby back on the stage where he belongs.
Do not underestimate Dean Windass or the mighty Jay Jay Okacha either.
Okocha
A brilliant brilliant player.
Getting on a bit mind.
absolute
legend
Dunne sent off
our last chance of Europe might be leaving with him
Only we could fuck this up
Nothing game, just need to get through it without a booking and Dunne gets sent off
I despair!!
fulham for europe!
I'm not sure it really matters.
Teams get ten points and lose three for a red and one for a yellow, so we'd get 7/10 & Fulham would get 10/10. This 10 makes up an overall score of 40, and we're 8 points ahead of Fulham. Not that i don't think it's all a complete farce, but...
There's a rumour going round that Dunne's off to Arsenal
reportedly for around £1m according to the BBC. Sounds like a bit of a bargain.
lol
bolton have picked a good day to park the bus.
a very good day indeed.
Well you know 'poor' teams like Arsenal
need to do shopping round, grab a bargain where they can... ;-)
ronaldo scores!

ONE NIL
TO THE CHAMPIONS
why does EVERYONE
from ireland support either liverpool or manchester united.
Generalising ftw.
everyone i know
whos irish supports one of those clubs. and are massive celtic fans.
Well tbh
Liverpool and United probably take 90% of the Irish support. I do know a fair few Necastle/Fulham/Leeds/Arse/Chelsea though.
I won;t comment on Scottish teams.
Do not count your chickens before they have hatched.
How did Scholes not get sent off??
Jesus.
he plays for united?
lol at the boro laying out city
BYE SVEN
*waves*
Once again United get all the major decisions.
Fair play to them for winning the title, they're a good side, but almost every single decision goes their way because referees are scared to give decisions against them. It's not a case of sour grapes, they're the best side in the league and deserve the title, but Wigan should've had a penalty, the challenge on Shrek was debatable and Scholes shouldn't be on the field. No other club gets those kinds of breaks and it just sums up everything that's wrong with modern football, for me.
You're completely right.
I can't really add to that, except that decisions involving United annoy me greatly.
what the fuck is Andy Gray smoking?
Rooney's was a clear-cut pen. Boyce was nowhere near the ball.
Andy Gray
has been going slowly mental all season... come September he'll be gibbering away with all manner of sub-Crooks rants
he hasn't been the same since that Mascherano sending-off
he's been disintegrating ever since.
Scholes to come off at HT, I think. He's a liability in a game like this when he's already been booked. So far so good, though - Utd in front and John Terry in hospital.
just about sums up the season really, doesn't it?
I guess it's part and parcel of the game, but the injuries they've suffered this season have been amazing, second to only West Ham, probably. To be where they are is pretty amazing.
they have so much strength-in-depth, though
they could put out a B team capable of challenging for a Champions League spot. Fair play to Notlob, I didn't expect them to put up such a fight.
But we have had our fair share of injuries ourselves - Scholes missed a couple of months, Silvestre (no great loss, but a decent squad player) has been out most of the season, Hargreaves has been in and out, Vidic has had various niggles, Neville is fucked and Saha is a joke.
"So far so good, though - Utd in front and John Terry in hospital."
Yes, it really is so brilliant that someone has ended up in hospital.
come on.
we all know it was light-hearted.
and it is only terry
he is a bit of a cunt though
Predictions for the 2nd half:
Chelsea throw everything at Bolton and fail to score, maybe even lose 0-1.
Wigan, as expected let United score at least two more without reply. Maybe they'll miss a pen or give Yoonited another, who knows?
Fulham grab a late winner, probably McBride or Dempsey, to break Reading hearts.
Goals galore at Upton Park, maybe 3-2 Wham.
City get another red card, lose 0-4 leading to partly ironic chants of 'Wee want Sven out".
3-0 to the boro
predictions coming true
fooooooooooooooooooour nil
we're losing on purpose to make a statement to chairman mao.
Do you not agree with his little red book?
heehee
do you think he wanted to buy united
but no one was brave enough to tell him he'd got the wrong manc ?
Abramovic actually did that with Chelsea.
or so rumour had it. He saw WHL and was pretty enamoured with it, but either got the wrong club or the tightarses wouldn't sell so he picked Chelsea. It definitely happened with Luther Blisset, Milan signing him instead of JB Barnes.
i'd love it if we lost 25-0 on purpose
and were just pinging the ball into our own net with Hart in the opposition box, all as a form of protest against Thaksin
but nay, we're just not very good, and being not very good means Sven is definitely gone
