Pete And The Pirates at New Slang, Kingston - 15th May

On Thursday May 15th one of the best UK bands around right now, Pete And The Pirates, return to New Slang in Kingston for a second time to play live!

They were brilliant last time they were here back in January, and since then their debut album has come out and blown us away! NME gave it 8 out of 10, in truth it should be more! We're looking forward to singing along to all the words now! We dance to their singles every week at New Slang so we're excited to have them back playing live! Spikey indie with punk influences, it's catchy as hell, and more fun than you can shake a large stick at.

Support comes from Paul Dixon who hails from the other end of the 65 bus route, Ealing. Citing influences from Radiohead and Jeff Buckley to Marvin Gaye and The Fugees, we're looking forward to hearing more!

After the bands we can dance to the best new indie and alternative music until 2am. DJs will be playing stuff like Jack Penate, The Wombats, Los Campesinos!, Jamie T, The Cribs, Those Dancing Days, Late Of The Pier, Dartz, Hot Club De Paris, Good Shoes, Klaxons, Justice, Maccabees, Larrikin Love, LCD Soundsystem, Tom Vek, Mystery Jets, Long Blondes, Les Savy Fav, The Shins etc...
