Sharron Kraus released her new album 'the fox's wedding' a few weeks. It's really beautiful and she's got one of the best voice of the current folk scene.

And she's playing London ( and Paris ) with Meg Baird soon ( 4th of June )!

no one tried ?

I would, but I'm listening to the Cocteau's

and I doubt she's gonna beat that, so she'll have to wait.

Your loss

...

Not really

unless there's a time limit on listening to music? Which would explain a lot about some people's attitudes, actually...

Anyway, I'm listening now, and I'm liking it a lot. So thanks.

sorry

it was just a bad way to bump the thread...

Oops I did it again...

Glad you liked it !

I'll add her to the list...

...and listen after Feel Good Lost ends...

OK

but not quite as interesting as her list of influences suggest. If she could inject a bit of the weirdness hinted at there – and the fact she says she's 'psychedelia' as one of her descriptions at the top – I'd be far more taken.

This is indeed a really classic folk album.

And yeah, a bit of weirdness would be good. But that's what's she's doing wiht her other 2 projects, cited just below...

Haven't heard this yet...

...but she does have a great voice. She's released two other albums already this year. One as Rusalnaia, with Gillian Chadwick from Ex Reverie and the other as Tau Emerald with Fursaxa.

The Rusalnaia album is cracking

Her album with Christian Kiefer 'the black dove'

is really beautiful. Sounding like medieval folk or something...

She was absolutely amazing !

So much better than Meg Baird...

They're both playing the 4th of June ! Go !
