"Liar" from Queen 1, released in 1973.
Doing some clearing out, found an old early Queen compilation on cassette.
Put it on and suddenly remembered just how absolutely fucking magnificent this song is.
Pitched somewhere between 'Now I'm Here' and 'Bohemian Rhapsody'I suppose.
Try and hear it and then tell me what a hero/cunt I am for bringing it to your attention.

there is only one winner
Rock The Night by Europe
End of thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rock now, Rock the night

Clutch's entire back catalogue
is full of bonafide rock classics that no-one knows.
Have a nice day.
yes yes yes yes yes
the verses of pure rock fury are just about the hardest rocking music has ever been and no one seems to acknowledge this
Candy Gold - rykarda parasol
ought to be the Dancing Barefoot of this generation.
Weeds by Life Of Agony
Should be considered a genuine rock classic
Whilst I'm glad that this thread hasn't just been left to die, yet,
I note that no fucker has actually taken the time to look up this song.
Have a listen, put your life back together and then tell me what you think.
Oh and I've listened to at least two Clutch songs on their myspace. We're talking many leagues above here.
Should have looked to see if I could find a link to this before
here's the song.

It's not on any Greatest Hits cd so they must be referring to a DVD collection.
Anyway, I'd watch this without the visuals as they're clearly not playing this in the video.
Life of Agony doesn't come close, I'm afraid.
Hmm relisten to Liar to see if I missed a classic
To me it just sounds like the filler Queen pad out the 2 or 3 good songs they come up with for each album. Sorry it's a long way from a classic in my book. The best way to listen to Queen remains to be very selective.
Thanks for listening.
Let's have a knife fight over who is right.
First blood or to the death. I don't mind really.
but I wanted to like it
actually glad I listened to this again, forgot about Doing All Right. A bit soppy but a favourite from my youth
Doing All Right
The Night Comes Down and Liar are my favourites from this one.
Some of the rest is a bit fillery.
Similarly this stuff rocked my youth so I was glad to hear it again.
Electro Quaterstaff
Dr. Wily
dunno
been listening to my old man's old wishbone ash records all week. both "argus" and "pilgrimage" are great and contain some crackers. a bit dated for most ears though i'd imagine. does anyone know about these anymore?
I used to work for a limo service in Chicago
and one night I went on charter with 3 guys from Wishbone- nah wait, it was three guys from Uriah Heep- never mind
I remember being very drunk at a party as teenager
only two of us were awake and we were playing stuff the other didn't know. I found a live version of throw down the sword and my friend was in awe. Then I played him Shwadywady. Beautiful mix.
