QUOTE:
Forgetting the action for a moment. I see all the police cars are expensive BMWs. They have to be quick enough but not expensive. And they all have alloy wheels. Alloy wheels on BMW's are optional extras - costing lots more. Is this so they can look good whilst out on patrol? Now you know where at least part of your council tax has gone to waste.

At first he was calm, but later shouted: "I have been in the ****ing Army".

Inquiries later revealed he was in the Territorial Army for three years up to 2002 but never saw active service.

^This made me giggle^
(I know it shouldn't have)

"I've been in the army!"

"Shit boys, we better give him what he wants"

"Stand back lads!"

"He's got a Swiss army knife!"

'Nah wait a sec'

'His nails aren't long enough to get a proper purchase to pull out the knife and I'll be damned if I'm being threatened by a corkscrew, chuck in the tear gas'

only because the drama really hits my chubby-finger-home

This is probably all about resale

Apparently silver has the highest resale value and they can just remove all the police stickers and stuff without marking the paintwork so they sell them all on after a bit and recoup a lot of the cash.

There seem to be a lot of complaints about the number of police there too.

And quite right too.

If this had been the 1950s the village bobby would have turned up on his bicycle, wandered up to the flat, made the man a cup of strong, sweet tea and everything would have been sorted out.

It wasn't all nicey nicey back then.

I find this really interesting. The Roll Of Honour for policemen killed on duty.

Const George Davis

Died 31 May 1853, aged 38

Fatally beaten with stones and sticks dispersing a drunken mob.

Man in the street says:

"You could understand it if he was a terrorist but Mark was not a terrorist. He had a lot of friends who he got on with extremely well."
Totally understandable from a t'urrrst. Happens all the time in Chelsea.
