what have you been listening to on your morning travels to the daily grind*?

i've been listening to Mastodon. while it makes my brain go "AAAAARRRRGGHHH!" a wee bit first thing in the morning, i think it works quite well in waking me up and getting my brain to work. as well as being bad ass.

* this counts for uni'/school/trip to the doctor/whatever too.

Man Man

have been my listening pleasure the past few days, great way to start my day.

david grey./

actually i have been listerninnnng to deltar fyve.

Chiltern FM.

It makes me want to open the door of the bus and leap into the road. Imagine having to listen to Scouting For Girls everyday with two massively unfunny twunts shouting at each other about how 'great' it is to be on the radio.

Nick Cave this morning

But that's only today. In general, Cut Copy. Puts you in a lovely mood (which is quickly trampled by actually arriving at work ...)

MGMT

was a lovely summery soundtrack for my bike into work today!

LCD are also good, to keep up the momentum when you're trying to cycle up a bit hill....

i'm always worried when wearing headphones and riding my bike

that i won't hear a car behind me and end up a stain on the side of the road...

not to put you off or anything!

Definitely true about LCD best cyling record for sure

Although I did once scare someone when I shouted Gil! Scott! Heron! while cycling.

If in a mundane job 'Mr Suit' by Wire will may you feel better about yourself.

Recent ones I've had on include 69 Love songs, the breeders and TVOTR.

The Black Angels - Passover

On my way Back

Amiina

Crossed Out and Infest

for me this morning. Nothing like a good bit of power violence to get you ready for the working day.

The Fall - Bill Is Dead

Why kid ourselves? This is how we really feel in the mornings.

both

fight like apes eps. then when that finished i listened to 'a place to bury strangers' album for the rest of my journey

I seem to listen

To Subtle on the train alot, dunno why but it just seems right! :D

LCD Soundsystem

Sigur Ros, Man Man.
