I heard Imitosis for the first time in fucking AGES the other day and I thought, Andrew Bird is pretty underrated yeah? I mean he's basically a genius - really really intelligent lyrics, fantastic tunes, experimentation, incredible musician, good looking, can whistle amazingly and used to be on children's TV

The looping pedal xylophone/guitar/violin/childrens toys set up is awesome.
And it all seems so effortless.... he's a jolly nice man also.

his new stuff he debuted last month sounded equally amazing...well, not that you can tell what an andrew bird track's going to sound on record from what it sounds live, but still.

An incredibly talented musician too, but I always find his penchant for self-indulgence scuppers his live shows

to this album properly, am still soaking up Mysterious Production of Eggs, especially Masterfade.
this is one of those rare albums
that I have listened to and listened to and listened to and yet somehow never ever get sick of.
