For the release of my debut single on Monday, June 16th, we're celebrating by having a little party in Southampton on Thursday, June 19th. It is going to be wicked!
This is all going down at Hamptons on Above Bar Street, Southampton. More details from www.myspace.com/longliverockandrollclubnights
If you want to travel and need somewhere to crash, just send me a message.
LUKE LEIGHFIELD - myspace.com/simplylukeleighfield
Southampton-based piano pop maverick, finally releasing his debut single proper - 'If You Haven't Got Anything To Say' on limited edition 7" vinyl. This date will be his only full band (ten piece!) performance in Southampton all year. You do not want to miss this brass-filled rock show of epic proportions.
"A breath of fresh air in this world of gloomy winters and moody blues" - Huw Stephens, Radio 1.
The single can be pre-ordered from www.banquetrecords.com
SAM ISAAC - myspace.com/samisaac
Acoustic loveliness in the vein of Ed Harcourt and Stars from Luke's touring buddy. Sam has played just about every festival going in the past year, and has been all over the radio and press. Champion. This is a full band appearance.
DAVE HOUSE - myspace.com/davehouse
Cult Kingston upon Thames hero finally returns to Southampton to play hits from both of his albums. Honest, acoustic songs about life as a modern punk rock legend, and liking emo. Phil Jupitus likes Dave too. Rumoured to be full band!
MY FIRST TOOTH - myspace.com/myfirsttooth
Girl / boy harmonies over delicate acoustic numbers. Lyrical genius thrown in for free. These guys have been doing ridiculous touring all year. Get in.
.
there like a bear
Can't
...............wait.
any planned
Worcester gigs at all?
(I also bought your 250 gigs t-shirt on saturday with my birthday money, so i'm pretty excited about wearing that everywhere)
you have a 10 piece band,
you're doing it only once in Southampton and you choose Hamptons as the place to do it? That PA struggles with an acoustic guitar and vocals!
Good luck though, I'm sure it will be a fun night.
Hamptons
has a new PA so it'll be fine, and Long Live Rock and Roll bring in their own substantial pa for their shows anyway, which is mega loud and stuff.
Worcester!
I thought no-one went to gigs there anymore! Myself and Sam Isaac vowed not to play the Marr's Bar again because the owner is such a cock, and there aren't really any other good venues, but we're trying to sort a Malvern gig sometime in the autumn.
Thanks for buying the shirt by the way. I'll post it tomorrow. I would have done it sooner but I've been away!
Any
