i saw them
in my friends flat once, that was a bit daft.
they're amazing.
and touring in the summer. check them out, they are great live.
Yeah, they are very very entertaining live.
Emphasis on 'very' up there.
I've got their ep
my friend in new zealand sent it to me.... its okay. She says they are rather fantastic live though. Which seems to fit in with here.

they wear these super cool costumes on stage with little hoods on them.just fucking brilliant live,dead nice people as well.sux dollars suxty please,sorry went all kiwi.

I think the ep is good but the energy on even the poor quality youtube clips is definitely there.

we played with them last year, lovely fellows and great live too, the word bananas comes to mind
are there any bands
you would compare them too though? some people mention Foals but I'm not that keen on Foals really.

saw them at my uni, shame our uni is SHIT and made their keyboards keep cutting out throughout their set.

their outfits are fantastic and they play so well with one another.
cannot wait until they're back in the UK though it might be a while cos last time I saw them they were playing their last of a 6-month tour. Ouch.

are sending me a promo of So So Modern, I don't know if it's new material or a promo for the proposed CD re-release of the Friends and Fires 7"s, be good if it was some new stuff.
Bristol 1st July
they put out
a set of 4 x 7" singles, 1 per week for 4 weeks. All different colours of vinyl with gorgeous coordinated packaging. They work like one very unusual album - ie. if you listen to them in order they make a lot of sense sequentially. Sadly I don't actually get them out that often, they just don't seem as much fun as when I saw them live, maybe with the exception of the final disc.
Wow
Quite surprised by the reaction to them to be honest. Seems as though I was a bit off the pace. I really like Friendly Fires so I have a feeling I'm gonna be blown away by the live spectacle!
Are they completely original though? Bands they're similar too?
