How sweary is your office

Ours is very and I'm just wondering how common this is.

There's only 6 people in my office and no-one gets offended so there's no real taboo when it comes to language/subject of conversation.

Do you find yourself having to reel your speech in at work?

Actually, yeah

I don't think I'd drop the C-bomb in here without due reason.

fucking filthy

Current job: Swear only to 'work friends'

Previous job: constant swearing include regular usage of the C-word.

a recent conversation between two female colleagues of mine

"i'm fucking freezing claire! turn the heating on!"
"yeah claire it's fucking cold. and i'm really fucking hungry"
"yeah, i've already fucking eaten my breakfast but i'm hungry already"
me: "you two swear a lot"

I just sent a poem to my (pregnant) boss

Roses are red, violets are blue
I heard that while you're giving birth
You also do a poo

She found it funny :D

oh shot no i'm not yoni wolf

but i do send my colleague innapropriate emails just to watch him laugh.

Nothing is tabboo in our office

When I hadn't finished a piece of work on time a director called me a "fucking post-op"

I want a permanent job

so I try to remain 'professional', though I did call someone a 'fucking plum' earlier. :s

the air is blue in my office

just now the phrase 'fanny beard' was used repeatedly for about 15 minutes.

Here?

There's not much swearing at all. The last office I worked in was very Irish dominated. Hence every other word was either 'feck' or 'cunt'...

the lesbian just called me "gay"

and someone else just called me a cunt.

we are quite sweary. (and obvs very cool because of it)

he actually caled me,

"a category 5 cunt"

not very, we are very considerate to

the gentle folk, we have a few offshorers from india, and they dont swear.
However there is a healthy camp inuendo banter, I like to think Im king of this

Swearing is fine.

Madeline McCann jokes are not. I made this discovery pretty quickly.

Ours is very sweary

People are regularly referred to as cunts.

Also, the other day I walked past a director's office and overheard him saying (this is verbatim): "For fuck's sake, I don't care, just get the motherfuckers to read the motherfucking briefing document. Bye."

Cunting Sweary.

I even have the word CUNT up on my notice board.

I don't have children, and didn't want to feel left out.

no swearing at all

you might get the occasional 'bloody' or 'damn' but that's about it.

There's two 40 years olds in one of the offices I work at

that swear like a pair of 9 year olds, ie. as though they've just discovered it, and think it's just the naughtiest thing in the world to go 'I don't know what the cunty bollocks I'm doing!'. 'Oooh I know what you mean, I have no fucking idea!'. It was quite amusing the first time I heard them, but it's been nearly two years now, and they're still far too impressed with themselves. Swearing is boring.

my 'team leader' swears in 'team meetings' accidentally

then apologises, hopefully when he realises no one is offended he'll do it more, then i'll tell on him and he'll get fired.

Swearing is par for the course.

The guy sitting across from me is called Dick and swears more than he uses syllables. A favourite of his:

"Ahhh Fuck the Fucking Fuckers." :D
take out the "Fuck"s...
"Ahhh... the..."

No swearing whatsoever

I felt very guilty when I said shit this morning when I messed up doing my voicemail message.

pretty much everyone

swears for britain on my floor, apart from the Scout master, he just frowns and tuts when I shout cunt really loudly at my PC

hmmm

one woman swears stupidly loudly and she is about the only one. annoys me far too much.
