Has anyone been to Blissfields?

It looks quite good, and it's only round the corner from where i live.

So does anyone have anything good to say about it? What's the atmosphere like, for example?

its a

wonderful little quaint festival, everyone has a lovley time and it is a gem cant reccomend it highly enough

I'm quite tempted to go to this, possibly just for a day though...

as some of my friends are playing.

Very Hants-centric by all accounts.

the Hants-centric thing is part of what attracts me

there's a fair few southampton bands playing...plus the wonder stuff!

tis only £60 for the weekend too

Oh that wasn't a criticism....

My friend Owen Tromans might be playing, I think Scarlet Soho and Pete and The Pirates are already.

Looks fun, food is meant to be delicious too!

i went last year

it's a really laid back affair and the weather was surprisingly good for it when i went! Lots of pimms drinking in a field with tractor rides thrown into the bargain - it's moving to a slightly bigger site this year so the prices have gone up in accordance, but i'd recommend it

apparently it's great

...a festival run for the reason festivals should be...good music and lots of fun. not making buckets full of cash.

thanks for the comments

.....we do our best, even if that means at the moment having to go through all the risk assessments :-(
It will be worth it all in July!
Did you see our latest additions:
Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man
Lethal Bizzle
Robots in Disguise
Mumford and Sons
The All New Adventures of Us

still have main support acts Sat and Friday to announce.

i went a few years ago

it was pretty crap - local village fete vibe, in the worst possible way - just seemed like locals who werent really into the music at all, and there wasn't much room for proper festival hedonism cos there were loads of little kids around.

but i believe its much bigger and better now. when i went i think chris tt headlined.

my enjoyment of the weekend was probably ruined by my lack of hayfever medication, to be honest

i know that this makes me sound like Reading is my ideal festival or something, but i just think its worth noting that small does not necessarily equal a good thing
