Wet dream for wetlads Natalie Portman has curated an indie-centric compilation called Big Change: Songs for FINCA that’ll come out tomorrow on iTunes in the US (30 Oct).

The record features contributions from Beirut, who Portman almost collaborated with on a track about a prostitute from Marseille, Antony & the Johnsons and The Shins.

Proceeds will go to charity FINCA, which provides financial aid to the world's lowest-income entrepreneurs.

Tokyo Police Club - ‘Be Good’
Beirut - ‘My Night With the Prostitute From Marseille’ [exclusive]
Tom Brosseau - ‘Plaid Lined Jacket’
Curumin - ‘Tudo Bem Malandro’
The Shins - ‘Australia (Bjorn Yttling Mix) ’ [exclusive]
Brett Dennen - ‘Ain't No Reason’
Sean Hayes - ‘Turnaroundturnmeon’
Thee More Shallows - ‘Oh Yes, Another Mother’
Angus & Julia Stone - ‘The Beast’
Antony & the Johnsons - ‘Paddy's Gone’
Vetiver - ‘Idle Ties’
Norah Jones - ‘Broken’
Devendra Banhart - ‘There's Always Something Happening’ [exclusive]
M. Ward - ‘What Is a Soul? ’ [exclusive]
Wooden Wand - ‘Forgiveness Figg (Bethany Hotel Blues) ’
Rogue Wave - ‘How We Landed’ [exclusive]

She also took the opportunity to distance herself from the recent rise of that Garden State band.

"The Shins are the ones who created their own success. No one is gonna think a sound is great just because I say so. They hear the songs, and that's what decides it for them."

Or perhaps they just read this.
