I always read 'Nobaloney' as 'Nob Aloney' not 'No Baloney' and consequently associate the word 'nob' with them, rather worryingly.
I didn't meet them, so far as I know.

I had one of those nights in which I spent tons of money and effort buying drinks, but not even getting slightly tipsey. Very annoying. Frog was so awful I wanted to knaw at my tail.

but he was quite possessive so even when i met jamie summers, guntrip etc for the first time also, i had to leave them after five minutes because he was stood there like a sulky child.
