"Homosexual" 50 Cent can "suck my gun," says gay rapper

deadlee

High profile gay rapper Deadlee has brought the fight to some of his mainstream adversaries.

Speaking after the launch of the HomoRevolution, the first ever tour of gay, lesbian and bisexual hip-hoppers, Deadlee kicked off his tirade by laying into Eminem:

"Eminem was called out for his juvenile, hateful approach to homosexuality, especially in his song 'Criminal,'" Deadlee said.

"He was the biggest rapper at the time and if he used the same song as a diss to Blacks or Latinos, he would probably be dead," claimed Deadlee, before going for the sweet spot of the uber-macho rap community.

"Eminem likes to pick on the 'weak' but gay[z] aint weak and he might be a fag himself. He knew all the subcultures in that song."

Brap, my friends, and indeed, 'brap'.

DMX was next in the firing line. Objecting to the constant references to "faggots" and "homo-thugs" that pepper DMX's lyrics, Deadlee again went for the jugular:

"I find it crazy when his videos are very homoerotic," said Deadlee. "All the guys kicking it with their shirts off!"

But Deadlee's wasn't out of vitriol just yet. He reserved the most hate for unfathomably titanic G 50 Cent, after he revealed last year that he "ain't into faggots":

"Fuck him. I don't like ignorant bitches around me, so he can suck my gun," retorted Deadlee.

"He is a classic man who had Homo-feelings and chooses to lash out because he is afraid he might act out on his true feelings.

"50 Cent has deep rooted homosexual tendencies."

As well as all the beefing, Deadlee talked a bit about the motives behind the tour he was spearheading.

"The HomoRevolution Tour is a direct challenge to the old status quo in Hip-Hop," Deadlee told AllHipHop.com.

"Times are changing and if openly gay rappers aren't invited then we are kicking the door in - and inviting ourselves...we are taking the mic. It's our turn too."

  • brap!

  • Suck my gun

    • !

      Good for him.

      • Damn straight

        Er, I mean, I agree.

        • well you dont hear stuff like this everyday

          good for him

he might still be rubbish though, anyone heard him?

          • Hmm

all well and good dissing eminem and the rest of the shithop 'comin out' of the US, but is he any good?? or is he doing gay hip hop stuff to do gay hip hop stuff, i mean the homorevolution sounds a bit tacky and gimmicky really, fair play to standing up to homophobic rappers though!

          • He's pretty gay

            • i did my dissertation on homos and gangster rap

this comes a year too late

              • call me cynical

but it just looks like a way to cause sensation and therefore sell his shows out. he may well be utter shit and no better (musically) than the people he criticises. Fair play for standing up against it, but when he is just about to go on a homosexual tour, it just seems a bit like a last gasp attempt to shift tickets.

                the fucking poof.

                • My exact point the other day.

The fact people are anti-homosexual SHOULD be perceived in EXACTLY the same way as racism.

                • But...

...by that logic no one will ever stand up against bigotry because they'll be worried they'll be accused of attention seeking. D'you think they should stop having any Rock Against Racism gigs because the artists involved get big crowds at them?

That needed to be said (and needs to be said again, and again, until people stop being so fucking stupid), and who better to say it than someone who's actually in the industry? The fact that more people will've heard of him now he's spoken out doesn't make what he said any less true or any less necessary.

And he hasn't - in the quotes above, anyway - criticised anyone's music. He's just criticising their homophobia. 50 Cent doesn't become any more or less homophobic as the quality of his music rises and falls, and Deadlee's words won't be any less true if his next record's a dud.

            • I hear what you are saying but...

while I deplore 'gay-bashing' and the gutless bullying of minority groups, is an individual nowadays allowed to simply disagree with the promotion of homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle without being labelled as 'anti-homosexual bigots' or even worse, being associated with 50 Cent?

              • It's fair to say I think

that if someone is disagreeing "with the promotion of homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle", they're not going to be nice people. Staying away from tedious labelling, they're probably just wankers.

              • thanks

for a completely unbiased and well-thought-through response. I can sleep easy now

              • That isn't the issue

The issue is whether you believe being gay is a weird fetish, or something that you are born as.
Until we clear that up, bigots will always have free rein.

                • Criminal

Have they actually ever listened to that song?

"A lot of people ask me.. stupid f**kin questions
A lot of people think that.. what I say on records
or what I talk about on a record, that I actually do in real life
or that I believe in it"

I mean, to misinterpret a song is one thing, but to ignore an explicit statement like that is willful ignorance..

He makes the point in that record that there's mainstream religions in the US who think homosexuality is actually evil, and they waste time worrying about what one rapper says.

                  Lazy.

                  • They'll have free reigh

because we're arguing whether it's a "fetish" or inherent? That's a bizarre statement you've just made, it's like you're fighting both sides simultaneously.

                  • You think there's

a difference between being against "the promotion of homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle" and bigotry? What planet do you come from?

                    • Do you think

..there's a difference between refusing the rights of biggots to speak and fascim?

My dad's gay so I'm not about gay-bashing... it's cool for anyone to be however they want.. but it's not ok to refuse someone the rights of their opinion, just cause you don't agree.

Personally I despise bigotry in all it's forms, but that don't give me or anyone else the right to silence people just cause I disagree with them.

If you dont like it.. don't listen.. simple as that.

(But eminem is blatently not homophobic.. he's just quite bright and not afraid of irony)

                      • Panic

Is way off on this one.

And a gay rapper is about as likely as an eighty year old swimsuit model. He won't be stepping foot in any ghetto.

But way to make enemies there, gay rapper guy.

                • <3

                • that's brill

"50 Cent is so ignorant... He must be gay!"

"Eminem isn't ignorant... He must be gay!"

                  "EVERYONE'S GAY!"

                  • "Kicking the door in and inviting ourselves"

Ohhh you tease! You have to buy me dinner first!

                    • ^^ quite possibly

the most i have ever laughed after reading an internet forum post.. another six hours of work doesnt seem so daunting now

                • "High profile"

                  Really?

                  • if Eminem hatess gay people some much

then why did he do a duet with Elton John?
people have the right to live there life without prejudgce rappers don`t realy promote harmony that much
