New-grave? Thom Yorke's The Eraser gets rmxd
Posted:
Thom Yorke has revealed that he is planning to put out remixes of tracks from this year's The Eraser long-player.
The first two remixes are up on the album's official website now.
"For anyone who has heard The Eraser, there are some remixes coming," Thom said. "Yes. I got excited. I've been listening through. I mean. There's some freaky shit.
"They may start appearing soon. Gradually. Briefly. Just a taste. And then gone.
"First there is Surgeon's remix of ‘The Clock’. This was the one that made me think, we got to start getting these out. I was chuffed he wanted to do it as think he is a MASTER.
"He has turned it into something really hard. And disco. Well what I call disco anyhow."
Didn't Thom Yorke think 'Idiotheque' was disco? If so, then BANGING, quite frankly. Thom shared my enthusiasm:
"It made me very proud.
"I hope it gets played in a club somewhere. Not that I get out much nowadays."
I know people that live in Thom's hometown down in the South West. They say he is a very quiet man, and a bit of a loner. Standard.
