Best reserve the phone now: Glasto tickets on sale in April
Posted:
Seriously, make sure that phone is yours and yours only five months from now: tickets for 2007's Glastonbury Festival are to go on sale in early April.
Organisers have confirmed that tickets for the event - which wasn't held this year, so expect massive demand in 2007 - are to go on sale via telephone lines and persistently crashing websites at the beginning of said month. Exactly when, we don't know. Nor do we much care: we're going somewhere super special around the time of Glastonbury, anyway. But can we tell you about it?
Nah. Not yet.
The festival's scheduled for June 22-24, 2007; some bands are expected to appear, and so far as we remember Michael Eavis has said Kylie Minogue's going to play. That's her, pictured.
The Boss isn't playing. Or is he? Who cares... it's always muddy and rubbish anyway, full of elderly crusties eating hash cakes and treading on your toes when you're trying to lip-read Bob Dylan, since you sure as hell can't hear what he's saying these days...

phone?
get the internet you old-person.
-
Hold the front page !! DIS in..
not a fan of a popular festival shock horror !!
-
to be totally honest...
...wherever it says 'we' it means me, only.
I've never had a good Glastonbury.
-
To be fair...
if it's going to be the likes of Kylie, Killers, The boss and all that blah blahness I'm not if I will have a good one.
Roll on that spanish one which I can't spell but lasts for four days. -
I like Glastonbury
I get to take drugs and listen to music and walk around in mud for 5 days. makes a change from sitting in an office refreshing DiS. the main stage is a bit pants though (normally)
-
is this really news?
don't they always go on sale in April?
Anyway the mad rush and crashing systems actually has a good side as it means that there are always thousands of returned tickets which are put on sale a month later - not many people know about it so it's really easy to get tickets the second time around
-
the hours and anger
I felt to obtain tickets in 2003 + 2004 was just too much.
I doubt very much I'll ever go to Glastonbury again.
-
its fucking better than Reading or V
but I've been 10 times and something is stopping me this year from going and to be fair I don't mind at all seeing the best they can do is Minogue.
-
If you've been ten times then you should know
never to judge the standard of the glastonbury festival experience (vomit) on the first announced/rumoured/whatever headline act.
i'd be more put off by the growing number of utter cunts that seem to be attending each year.
-
havent been yet
so will be going hopefully, just gotta get them tickets now!!!
-
i've never been but
i am desperate to the next one. i went to the isle of wight this year and had a giggle (even though i didnt get enough kip).
-
I can't be arsed
after how horrid 2005 was
-
I went once in 95
and I never liked the atmosphere, too many posuers. I actually had a better time at Phoenix. I prefer smaller festivals now. Ashton Court seems a lot more fun and less hassle.

Blah
I'm saving my monies for Benicassim :D
-
George Best is dead.
DUH.
-
Glastonbury is still the best
and will always have a better line up than Costa Del Plonker Benicassim. 4 days in the british mud beats 5 in the baking, disgusting spanish heat. And who cares about minogue. Go see someone else it's not like the headliners are the be all.
-
yeah
springsteen is pure "blahness", okay, right, thanks, sure
-
Glastonbury was fine
in 2005 .Benicassim was very hot and violent last year.Secret Garden is my must go next year and Burning Man if I can get the cash together.
-
Naah.
Truck and/or ATP and/or Leeds for me next year.
-
I love Glasto
have always had an amazing time there, I like the mud, it's like an exercise in survival. Am going to try and do as many festivals as possible this year. I wouldn't do Beni again tho, tis too hot, too hilly, too carparky and I hate the stage being separate from the camping. It feels like a cattle farm.

(Truck
is the best tho)
