I had some real, complex, Supermassive even, ideas for this review. I wanted to reach uncharted territories with regards to sarcasm and unbridled resentment. I was going to write one helluva concept review - think an abducted Thom Yorke penning an awful review with only his song titles – but frankly, Mr Skinner and Mr Doherty, you’ve mercilessly sucked the will from each of my eight fingers and two thumbs – touch-typing, bitches – and all I’m left with is this one parting, breathless, retort:
Really, you’ve made an altogether unique piece of shit here, haven’t you?
What, there’s a ‘Clean Album Version’ on the b-side? And you want my reaction to it? Bring me a knife, a couple of doll models and meet me on YouTube in twenty minutes...
1/10
Another objective, reasonable Dis rating then...
bored
I'm bored of the sarcastic reviews of recent. Could someone release something good?
This record
is unbelievably bad though. Skinner and Doherty should have retired gracefully years ago, or with hindsight, not bothered in the first place.
ooh
its all becoming a bit post-post- modern isn't it.
noticing a few 'i was gonna write blah blah' reviews popping up here and there.
ooh well
its all becoming a bit post-post- modern isn't it.
noticing a few 'i was gonna write blah blah' reviews popping up here and there.
havent heard it.
but i wonder if it is as bad as this pathetic 'review' though.
which is about as funny as infant mortality.
A bad review...
For a bad record.
I don't know which is worse.
this is shit.
Shame, OPM is amazing.
I really, really hate The Streets
But if this is the Streets single I heard on the radio last night, it's easily the one I've hated least.
I still hate it though.
1/10 for this...
...and jet got 0/10 ?!?!
Hey danny !! I'm gonna give you to the count of three to get your two bit lame good for nothing arse outta here.
1 2 3 Haaaaaaahahah
Keep the change you filthy animal !!
I'd have given this shit a minus score...
...if such a thing were possible.
A steaming, putrid turd of a record.
i've seen so many good reviews for this
nice to see that someone saw it for the turd it is.
x
I Don't Mind Bad Reviews
But please less self-reverential, "OMG this is so unbelievably shite, it's well shite it is" reviewing please.
hahahahahah
short circuit
hahahahahahahah
another reasonable rating
shocking review with absolutely no relevance to the the construction of the song which i happen to enjoy . the original with pete through the whole song was better but i don't know where thats gone ... i'd have given 7 , 2 nice b-sides to this (deluded... and dreams) if you're a fan of the streets get it for that if you don't like the boy doherty.
The review = shit
I'll grant you that the track is probably The Streets' worst single to date, but it's not a 'bad' track.
It's still got more about it than the average chart-hogging fare.
tell me EXACTLY what it has that chart hogging fare has, then
this track saps energy, i haven't exaggerated anything. this is my reaction to the song hence it is my review - it's really bloody simple.
*does not
But
Reviews are more than reactions - otherwise just yelling 'good' or 'bad' would be a review.
I don't have objections to this kind of review to stuff that is clearly awful, but I actually think this song is OK.
yes but
truly awful and ok are just normative.
I
can't abide the streets at all but this is a pretty good song considering it's him. though i liked a few songs from the first record, this certainly blows away i've heard from the last two albums. especially the cuntine splush of "dry your eyes"
anyone ever see the episode of home movies where brendon puts on a musical (a parody of grease) and melissa has to "sing-talk"? yeah, thats what mike skinner sounds like
Cuntine splush
Damn, I'll be using that one at the next "weekly progress" meeting. I knew there was a reason to read these user reviews...
Oh, the song. It's ok. I give it a 6, probably because nobody else I know listens to these guys so I don't have to hear it all the time.
I like it
mm, same!
Me too.
Perhaps not the Doherty part though.
you're pranging out!
gl @ this review absolutely terrible.
i really hate the doherty part
it sounds like a terrible poetry reading.
good original version though.
I like this
song, it's very catchy.
That is all
ahem...
...writing a review requires a non-objective point of view. otherwise, how could a judgement be made on the single? besides, i think the point the dude or dudette tried to make was thus: this song is so bad that to waste space reviewing it would be an insult to mankind.
